Originally built in 1535 during the reign of King Henry VIII for John Steede, a local Yeoman, the Close has had many high-profile owners including Sir Thomas Estcourt, a wealthy wool merchant, before first becoming a hotel in 1974. You’ll find The Close nestled in the heart of the vibrant Cotswold town of Tetbury, among antique shops and local boutiques. The Close boasts a contemporary take on country-house style, oozing charm, sophistication and fun! No two rooms at The Close are alike, with each having been individually styled to reflect its character, some with views over the peaceful garden or historic Tetbury high street.
