Wheelgate House was built about 250 years ago by a Maltster, Richard Haskins. It was home to the village Post Office for some years until the 1970s. Biz bought the house in 2005 and has welcomed guests since the summer of 2006.

Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, the Wheelgate House is in the heart of the picturesque village of Bampton. The stone property boasts free WiFi and is just 18 miles from Oxford. The rooms at the Wheelgate feature a TV, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. The private or en suite bathroom boasts complimentary toiletries. In the mornings, the guest house serves homemade bread with various jams, followed by a full English breakfast. Dishes are cooked to order and prepared using locally sourced produce where possible. Home to the West Ox Arts Gallery, Bampton is situated in West Oxfordshire. The village is set between Faringdon and Witney, just 6 miles from both towns. Boat trips along the upper reaches of the River Thames can be enjoyed from Radcot, just 4 miles from the Wheelgate House.
